Exhibition of modern graphics “Aftertaste”
What will the world look like after the pandemic, and what kind of aftertaste will it have?
The exhibition topic vividly illustrates the global expectation of a solution to the situation – what it will be like “after” the onslaught of the global health crisis and what challenges each of us will face. The anticipation is in the air, for no matter what consequences this crisis brings, we all need move forward and deal with it.
The authors of the exhibition are graphic artists of different generations, working in both classical and experimental graphic techniques such as linocut, lithography, silk-screen printing, collotype, drawing and mixed techniques.
In their art, the artists either consciously or intuitively, offer us their reflections on what is happening in the world, both in the social, and in the economic and spiritual spheres. Right now, society is experiencing strong emotional aftershocks that affect not only broad and different social groups, but also each person individually. The participants of the exhibition delivered their ideas, reflections, thoughts, feelings and actions in a crisis situation through the perspective of video interviews with artists, which became an essential addition to the visual exhibition.
